Quality Management Presentation for Home Care Agencies

The Health Facilities and Emergency Medical Services Division of the Colorado Department of Health will be providing quality management program (QMP) presentations at many locations statewide. These workshops will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with a one hour lunch-on-your-own. From our presentation, group discussions and breakout sessions, you will: Understand the core elements (plan, do, study and act) of a Quality Management Program (QMP). Gain working knowledge on how to successfully use a QMP. Learn how to incorporate your QMP in day to day operations.  Dress casually and feel free to bring your own snacks and refreshments. Deconstructed Moong Bean Soup

I am really proud of my recipe today, even though it is incredibly simple. I am sure other people have done this before, but I feel like I invented it. So I'll just continue to pretend I did. I finished off my big bag of moong beans. I started out by making some moong bean soup with dry beans, frozen corn and artichoke hearts, kale stalks, carrots, and garam masala, kind of based off my Indian-Spiced Yellow Split Pea Soup. Then after I ate it all, I wished I could make more but I was out of most of the ingredients. So I created this super-awesome recipe that I shall call "deconstructed soup." Deconstructed Moong Bean Soup Soup: Dried moong beans Water Seasoned salt Optional -- garlic, curry powder, garam masala Raw spinach Raw broccoli and cauliflower Nutritional yeast Cook moong beans until soft, about an hour. Transfer of Life Safety Code Oversight from CDPHE to DPS in accordance with HB 12-1268: Progress Report

Facility Administrators Please click here to find a progress report on the implementation of House Bill 12-1268 which transfers Life Safety Code (LSC) oversight from the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) to the Department of Public Safety (DPS) effective July 1, 2013. Both agencies will be involved in licensure and Medicare/Medicaid certification of facilities (for hospice this only includes those with inpatient beds), so to date, HB1268 implementation has focused on the new infrastructure needed to transition responsibility and create a smooth workflow between CDPHE to DPS. The next phase of implementation will be more focused on stakeholder involvement regarding licensure regulations and new administrative processes associated with obtaining and renewing licensure and certification.
