Man in India who claims that he has Not Eaten Or Drunk Any Liquid in 70 Years Examined by Scientists

Image
Doctors and experts are baffled by an Indian man who claims not to have eaten or drunk anything for 70 years – but is still in perfect health. A team of scientists and doctors in Sterling Hospital, in the western Indian city of Ahmedabad, are studying the claims of Prahlad Jani, a local holy man, who is over 70 years old. He claims to have been blessed by a goddess when he was 8-years-old, which has enabled him to survive without sustenance and that he derives  energy through meditation . Most people can live without food for several weeks, with the body drawing on its fat and protein stores. But the average human can survive for only three to four days without water. Activated Charcoal: Medicine of the Egyptians, Greeks, and Native Americans

Image
Eating charcoal sounds about as appetizing as scarfing down some black, charred remains of a Saturday BBQ, but  activated  charcoal is a whole other animal. Activated charcoal is used as a  detox agent to absorb a host of heavy metals , chemicals, and pharmaceutical drug remains that flow through your blood stream and cause a hindrance to your best health. Activated charcoal absorbs the toxins from your body and then, since it is not absorbed by the body, the toxins along with the charcoal are expelled, leaving you cleaner and more toxin-free. The Numerous Benefits of Activated Charcoal Charcoal is “activated” because it is made to have a very small particle size. This increases its overall surface area and absorptive capacity. Activated charcoal is produced by adding acid and steam to carbonaceous materials such as wood, coal, rye starch, or coconut shells. To understand just how effective this substance is at absorbing toxins, one  standard 50-gram dose   of activated charcoal has

Could the Tropical Fruit Soursop Be a Solution to Cancer?

Image
As man struggles in labs to create something that may successfully treat cancer without killing patients, effective and healthful treatments wait in nature to be discovered. But while Big Pharma scientists toil and have nothing to show for it but drugs that are as harmful as they are helpful,   some researchers are looking for those natural solutions that could hold the key to something as deadly as cancer. Enter the exotic tropical fruit: soursop. A truly tropical fruit, soursop (also known as graviola, guanabana, and guyabano) is a large and unassuming healer. Research over the past few decades have indicated it has amazing anti-cancer properties. Yet many people have yet to hear about the  health benefits of guyabano . The first promising  study of soursop  occurred in 1996 when researchers found a compound extracted from the fruit was deadly to cancer cells but allowed healthy cells to live. They discovered not only did the compound selectively annihilate cancer cells, but it did s

Theres no Mistaking It, Cannabis Cures Cancer

Image
Cannabis is one of the most powerful healing plants in the world and it makes cancer essentially disappear. Cannabis compounds are responsible for halting the growth factors that are responsible for metastatic growth. Although there has been scientific evidence that marijuana can shrink and even kill tumors since the 1970s, much of the recent public interest in this research has been inspired by  Run From The Cure , a documentary about a Canadian man who claims that the concentrated oil from the cannabis plant has cured his skin cancer. He then tries the cure on a number of other cancer victims in his community with  similar results . Researchers have now found that the compound, called cannabidiol, has the ability to 'switch off' the gene responsible for metastasis in an aggressive form of breast cancer. Importantly, this substance does not produce the psychoactive properties of the cannabis plant. A team from the California Pacific Medical Center, in San Francisco, first spot

At Rude Health HQ the Thins have provided an accompaniment to numerous lunches and it's fair to say, we're hooked. Paired with chunks of soft avocado,  smoked makerel pate, leftover curries and hearty soups or just when you need a little something extra. To show just how versatile these tasty little Thins can be, I decided to share with you my top five Thins-inspired recipes... 1. This message is from the Division of Fire Prevention and Control at the Colorado Department of Public Safety. I would like to thank all of you who have worked so hard with us these past few weeks as we have been developing these temporary rules to implement the provisions of House Bill 12-1268. The Bill transfers the Building, Fire, and Life Safety functions from the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, Health Facilities and Emergency Medical Services Division to the Department of Public Safety, Division of Fire Prevention and Control. Through drafting, public meetings, and stakeholder discussion we have developed the attached temporary rules to implement this transition on an interim basis. I have signed these rules today to be effective upon the transition on July 1st, 2013. In the coming weeks we will be working with our Board of Appeals (created in the Bill) and stakeholders like you to develop final rules related to this program. We look forward to worki
